Happy Yesterday Birthday, Jimi

Angela, are you proud? I'm posting. I mean to, I really do. I just forget.
So. I am down to having to write 2 papers. One of which I will do as soon as I finish this post. Then another is not due till the day of finals. So, actually there are 3. I can't wait till I'm done. The feeling is sheer and utter relief.
Wow, I never realized how awful my nose is till this picture. Well actually I did, but this just amplifies it. Must Katy really post these pictures to the web??
Pink Floyd is simply delightful. I love them. Alot. The more I listen, the more I love. (And I love the way he says "first class" in Money - love the accent!!!)
Anyways, it is good to be back in NashVegas. I love this town. I have never been as happy as I am here. Well for an extended period of time that is. Don't think I am more happy here than when I was with Mick. For that simply could not be. But this town is great. The people here are great. It's weird, without even trying, you just meet people here. I think it's cuz everyone here wants to meet people, that's why they come here - to meet people that could, someday, possibly help move their music careers onward.
Well, if I plan on going to CoCo's tonight, sin J though, :(, I will have to write this paper. So, I'm signin' off...

Best Scene Ever

"Can he read?"
"Course I can."
"I mean lines, Duckie, can you read lines?"
Just the heads up to all: You will be called "Duckie" by me sometime in the near future.

Home on Tuesday!

Willie Nirvana!!! I forgot all about Willie, well not completely, until Angela brought him up in her blog. Isn't Willie (or is it wasn't) great??? So beautiful!! I am jealous.
Anyways, I am coming home on Tuesday, and although I was very sad about leaving NashVegas, the break from 1. school 2. drama and 3. depression from which I know not from is glittering in the distance, looking positively wonderful. And, best of all, Angela and I get to hang out and spend 5 days quoting Seinfeld, talking music, discussing Mick and Keith and their clothes, and just being like-minded.
Good.
How fun was this: Katelin and I were venting our frustrations in Starbucks last night, and just as we are about to force ourselves out of the wonderful purple, cushy, velour chairs, in walk our new friends from J's youth group!!! Do you know how cool is is to actually know people in Nashville?? I don't feel like I'm on vacation here anymore. Anyways, me and Katelin were estatic about having friends - who are pretty fun.
I have been craving Copeland's song "No One Really Wins" or whatever it's called lately. But the meanie-heads did not put in on PureVolume, so I am without. ::sad pouty face::
Well, it's time for me to head off to Continental Literature. Ugh. I haven't done homework in weeks and I don't know when I'm going to start again. I probably should buuuut ... friends are more fun - especially after the lack of them over the past few years - and less work.
Friends last longer than school. Friends are more fun than school. When you get out of school, you will remember the fun stuff not the work. So that is why I am putting fun above school.
You all should do the same. It's way fun :)

$8.50 Down The Drain

Last night, these two evil beings kidnapped me, stuck me in the back of an unassuming old car, and then dragged me into a dark, damp old theatre, called Opry Mills, and forced me to watch the horrors of something called Saw 2. I proceeded to spend the next 2 hours with my hands over my eyes and ears, peeking through my fingers.
Case in point: Why I hate and never go to horror movies.
Though, I will give it some credit, it was very intense and suspenseful. But it was awfully gory and bloody and gross and just plain scary.
Moral of the Story: Be scared to go to sleep because you never know where you will wake up. Like in a scarier than heck house where all but one of you will die.

TGIF

For the first weekend since I've been here, I am completely cool w/ not getting all dolled up and heading downtown tonight. Wait, I lied. We're going to Kijiji's for jazz night. Then we are coming back here to watch movies and chill. A MUCH NEEDED chill time. I hate school.
J makes me happy. Do you know why? He is a friend who is cool, who is like me, who wears girls jeans, who calls alot, who drives, who is on tour this weekend, who invites us to tag along places, who I've know for 6 days but it feels like a year, who is not a girl (because I'm about on my wits end hanging out w/ only girls), who says he likes it that I'm "innovative" with my clothes, who ... wait this has got to stop.
Did you ever make a friend that you are just estatic about??? Me, Katelin and Katy sure have.

I Hate Posers

Ang, you will appreciate this!
So, we went to this show last night. Got free tickets from some guy at some store. Never heard of any of the bands, but hey! it's free, so we went. THANK GOD WE DID! But the point of this blog is this:
This one band had a song called Poser. And this was the chorus:
"P-O, S-E-R. F---in' fake is what you are!"
Hahahahahahaha! ::laughs incessantly::
Anyways, made a ubercool, can't wait to hang out with him on Tuesday friend. And saw a bunch of bandiness. And, as always in Nashville, a lot of babes :)

WOO HOO November!

Angela makes me want to do NaNo. But I won't cuz I know if I try, I'll hate it and stop and be a failure. So maybe I'll just write a novel on my own to satisfy my craving to make up stories about life that is more exciting than mine. But what to be about?
Anthony showed up at my door dressed as a member of Kiss last night. Complete with leathers. Who gets points??? He does. KC does not. It was an entertaining evening that started off horrible.
Everyone I talked to had these great Halloween party/costume plans. Not me.
So then I watching this Beatles documentary and Angela pointed out the fact that I was celebrating Halloween with the Beatles. And I liked that alot, so it was fun.
Then Katelin called late that night and was like "I don't want to do school work, let's smoke." So we went and bought these apple flavored cigars and came to my house. We made a midnight Kroger run and came back here and stuffed our faces, while debating if we should go to the "F--k School" party over on Ashwood. (There was this massive Belmont Halloween party and the flyers said something to the effect of "Hate school? Then say 'f--k school!' and come to our party! 11 pm to 6 am) We decide not to go and are getting ready for bed, it's like midnight now.
Then the phone rings and it's ... Anthony? He says are you home? Yeah. Can I come over? ::thinks:: What? I'm in my pj's! ::says:: Sure.
Two minutes later, knock on the door, Katelin gets it.
One more minute later I walk into my living room to see a member of Kiss standing there. Too funny. And we all hang out and chat and listen to the Stones till like 2 am - and we all had work and school the next day.
So yeah, that's the story of my Halloween starting off crappy and ending up fun. Oh and Katelin had a dream that KC called. So November is off to a fab start!
Soundtrack: Rolling Stones, Let It Bleed ... the vinyl!! Screw cd's, I'm sticking to records from now on.
